NEW!

New evidence from study shows quality of sleep affects weight! A recently released study done (August 16, 2000) by researchers at the University of Chicago discovered that there may be a correlation between middle-age spread and sleep patterns as we age. Not only does the quality of sleep decrease as we age but the amount of growth hormone secreted by the body also diminishes considerably. The study also sites that the decrease in growth hormone of the elderly can be paralleled with increased fat tissue and abdominal obesity, reduced muscle mass and strength, and reduced exercise capacity. The study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) August 16, 2000 revealed that poor sleep patterns result in lower growth hormone release - in some cases up to a 75 percent decline! (As previously reported by Dr. Ronald Klatz, president of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, growth hormone is usually secreted in the first 90 minutes adults enter into a deep or REM sleep. Growth hormone is one hormone that is responsible in helping burn body fat. Lack of growth hormone leads to more fat and less lean muscle.) The new JAMA study was performed with healthy men and it is not clear if the findings will apply to women as well. However, further research is being conducted to determine if sleeping pills or hormone injections will slow "old age." In light of these new findings, stimulating the pituitary gland to secrete growth hormone naturally is an alternative method to pills or hormone injections. Sleep-N-Slim, the liquid nutritional supplement, is made from an exclusive amino acid complex which does stimulate the pituitary gland into action. As explained in Dr. Klatz' book, Grow Young with HGH, amino acids can work naturally with the body to burn fat and build lean muscle. Sleep-N-Slim is an excellent method to accomplish this fat burning without harmful drugs or stimulants.
